Oct Update

So it has been a while since I last worked on this project, prolly since the last post in January, and I would like to talk about how I would like to move forward. I plan on reworking this game from scratch, my current plan is to work on a new engine for this game, more so I can learn more C++ and get better with my coding practices. With this rework, I do plan on changing the art direction so that it looks less like Hollow Knight, with more bland backgrounds and platforms, but more of a design that I think will be similar to the unraveled games. I also had an idea for the theme in the story where it becomes more serious, specifically as you progress more in time, but I will try to tone down the seriousness with an increase in silliness, to play more into the whimsical aspect of the game. This new project will take me a lot longer but I feel that the end product would end up looking, and feeling much better than the one I originally made for my game design class this past year. Since I am currently out of school, as well as not working for anyone, I will be able to focus more on this project and hopefully grow personally, as it will allow me to find out whether or not this kind of field is for me, and I will give myself a year of backend design to figure this out, and if I find this enjoyable then I will complete the project, but I find that I have fallen out of coding and game design, then I will publish what I have then step back. So I thank you for any of those who like my content, even though I haven't particularly done anything, and I will try to post an update every month, starting with one at the end of the month. Thank you, and I wish you a good day, and good luck on whatever project you may be working on, large or small.
